1. Overview
Brandon Armour, operating as LiquidA11y, ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") has established this Refund Policy to ensure transparency regarding refunds for our accessibility scanning and remediation services. This policy applies to all purchases made through our platform.
2. Nature of Our Products
LiquidA11y provides digital goods and services, including:
- Accessibility Scanning: Automated analysis of your website using axe-core, Playwright, and AI vision to detect WCAG 2.2 issues
- AI-Generated Code Patches: Liquid theme code fixes generated by AI models and validated by AI vision against your theme, deployed only after your review and approval
- A11y Studio: Software-as-a-Service access to our visual remediation platform for reviewing, customizing, and exporting code fixes
- Compliance Documentation: PDF reports, AI Agent Readiness Scores, and remediation audit trails
- Compliance Record: Compliance badge, cryptographic proof-of-remediation, and ongoing monitoring (Always Accessible add-on only)
- Weekly Auto-Scans: Automated recurring scans with fix suggestions queued for your approval (Always Accessible add-on only)
Due to the immediate, automated delivery of digital goods upon purchase โ including scan results, AI-generated code patches, and A11y Studio access โ certain limitations on refunds apply as described below.

4. One-Time Purchase Refunds
4.1 General Policy
One-time purchases (including Accessibility Audit at $199) are generally non-refundable because:
- Scan results, AI-generated code patches, and A11y Studio access are delivered immediately upon purchase
- You receive instant access to remediation data, compliance documentation, and AI-generated intellectual property
- The scanning and fix-generation service is performed automatically at the time of purchase
- Code patches applied to your Shopify theme cannot be "un-applied" by us โ they remain in your theme regardless of refund status
4.2 Exceptions
We may issue a refund under the following circumstances:
- Technical Failure: The scan or fix-generation process failed to complete due to a technical issue on our end, AND we are unable to resolve the issue within 48 hours
- Duplicate Charge: You were accidentally charged twice for the same purchase
- Unauthorized Transaction: The purchase was made without your authorization (subject to investigation)
- Material Misrepresentation: The service materially failed to match its description (not including subjective quality assessments of AI-generated fix quality)
4.3 Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will NOT be issued for:
- Change of mind after receiving scan results, code patches, or A11y Studio access
- Dissatisfaction with the number or type of issues detected by the scan
- Dissatisfaction with the quality or scope of AI-generated code patches
- Inability to deploy recommended fixes to your theme
- Third-party issues (e.g., your hosting provider blocking our scanner, Shopify API limitations, or theme incompatibilities)
- Scans of websites you did not have permission to scan
- Misunderstanding of what the service includes (please read product descriptions carefully before purchase)
- Issues caused by third-party apps installed on your store that are outside LiquidA11y's control
5. Subscription Refunds
5.1 Cancellation Policy
Always Accessible subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to subscription features until your paid period expires. Upon cancellation, your compliance badge expires and a 30-day data deletion countdown begins.
5.2 No Prorated Refunds
We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access for the remainder of that billing cycle but will not receive a refund for unused days.
5.3 Exceptions
In exceptional circumstances, we may consider refunds for subscriptions if:
- The service was materially unavailable for an extended period (more than 3 consecutive days)
- A significant feature was removed without reasonable notice
- Other circumstances we deem appropriate at our sole discretion
5.4 Data Deletion Upon Cancellation
Upon cancellation of your Always Accessible subscription:
- Your Compliance Record compliance badge expires immediately
- You retain access to subscription features until the end of your current billing period
- A 30-day data deletion countdown begins after your billing period ends
- After 30 days, all scan data, reports, fix history, and compliance documentation are permanently deleted from our systems
- Code patches already applied to your Shopify theme are not affected โ they remain in your theme code
- Billing records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years for tax and financial compliance)
This 30-day retention period also applies to Accessibility Audit purchases that are not upgraded to Always Accessible. Your data retention rights under CCPA, GDPR, and other applicable privacy laws are described in our Privacy Policy.
6. How to Request a Refund
6.1 Submission
To request a refund, send an email to:
Your refund request must include:
- Your full name and email address associated with the purchase
- Order/transaction ID or receipt
- Date of purchase
- Reason for refund request (please be specific)
- Any supporting documentation (screenshots of errors, etc.)
6.2 Review Process
We will review your request within 5 business days and notify you of our decision via email. We may request additional information to process your request.
6.3 Refund Processing
If approved, refunds are processed through the original payment method (typically within 5-10 business days). Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time to appear on your statement.
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
Important: Before filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company, please contact us directly to resolve the issue. Chargebacks incur significant fees and administrative burden.
If you file a chargeback without first contacting us:
- Your account may be suspended pending resolution
- We will provide evidence to the payment processor supporting our position
- If the chargeback is found to be fraudulent or unjustified, we may pursue recovery of the amount plus applicable fees
Most issues can be resolved faster and more favorably by contacting our support team directly.
8. Statutory Rights
This Refund Policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Some jurisdictions may provide additional rights or protections that cannot be waived. If you are entitled to statutory refund rights, those rights apply in addition to this policy.
8.1 European Union Residents
Under EU consumer law, you typically have a 14-day withdrawal period for distance purchases. However, this right may not apply to digital content that has been accessed or downloaded, or to services that have been fully performed, where you have given prior express consent and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal.
By purchasing and initiating a scan, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your right to withdraw once the service has been fully performed.
